Google has started rolling out the ability to connect Google Business Profile directly to Google Analytics 4. A new reporting section is now appearing that pulls in key local metrics from your Business Profile.
In this video we examine exactly what data is being imported, how it works for single-location and multi-location businesses, and whether the integration delivers the kind of search-to-action visibility that local SEOs have been missing since the original keyword reports disappeared behind (not provided).
We look at the specific metrics now available in GA4 — interactions, website clicks, calls, directions, messages, bookings, and menus — and compare them to what was already visible inside Google Business Profile. The video also explores the current state of local rank tracking using geo-grid methods and the growing challenge of measuring visibility as more searches move into AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar tools.
