Have you guys ever wondered how many pages your website should have for good SEO? What kind of Casey's, SEO? And the answer to that is, who knows? So really, for a website to have good SEO, you need good SEO, and the amount of papers pages that you have is really going to be dependent on your niche. So, for example, if you have a local business, your website may not have that many page compared to an ecommerce site, because this just makes sense.
You do not need that many pages for a local business compared to an ecommerce site. But what you really need is good content with good SEO and still multiple pages. You need a home page. You need a contact page. You need services pages.
So if you have multiple services, each one of your services should have a page with good content. And the more pages you have with good content will help with your SEO. Now, once you have your home page completed and your services pages all up to date with good content and good SEO, then you can move into a blog. So you can do some keyword research, find out what people are looking for, and then expand on those keywords for your local area and create a blog which will then generate more traffic to your website. So, over the course of a year for a local business, you may have 60 pages, which include your homepage, your contact page, your service pages, and the blog that you created.
Post either once a month, twice a month, and over the course of time, your website is only going to expand. And the more SEO that you have been doing on your site and creating good content will drive more traffic to your site over the long run. So there's really no good answer to how many pages does your website need for good SEO. You could really just have one home page with everything on it, with all your services listed, but you're not going to get the love that you really want from that site. You really want to spread everything out and create individual pages for all your services, instead of just cramming it onto one long home page.
So there's no real answer of how many pages your website needs to have good SEO. Just as long as you have good content and you're using keywords people are searching for, you'll drive more traffic to that site. But in my opinion, you still need more pages that you can really optimize compared to just one really long home page.
