Content Marketing VS Social Media Marketing (What's The Difference?)

What is the difference between #ContentMarketing & #SocialMediaMarketing?

I thought the two were basically the same thing?

After searching on YouTube to find some answers, I discovered everyone has their own definition.

In 2021 these are my thoughts:

1. Content Marketing is assets or stories that are POSTED on social media platforms.
2. Social Media Marketing is the strategy of WHAT you do with those assets. What hashtag to use, whether to make it a video or a picture post. How do you share it, who do you tag?
3. In 2021 we are starting to see platforms like TikTok and Reels become a hybrid between a social media and content creation platform.

My forecast is that social media platforms will start to become more of a content creation platform, emerging the two (Content Marketing & Social Media Marketing) into one.
